WORSHIP SCHEDULES & VENUES

We are experimenting to learn how the Meeting can better meet the needs of our community.  Some Friends and attenders rely on Zoom-related technology to join our Meetings for Worship.  Others find worship difficult when such technology is present.

WORSHIP:  through August 2026.

On most Sundays, we have two Meetings for Worship:  the first meeting and the second meeting.  Some of these Meetings are in “hybrid” format (Friends present physically in the Meetingroom connected to Friends online via Zoom).  Meetings for Worship with Attention to Business are also in hybrid format.

Starting January 18, 2026, AAFM began experimenting with a schedule change when Business Meeting is held.

• On every Sunday except when Business Meeting is held (3rd Sundays, except for August and December):
  • The first Meeting for Worship is at 9:30 am, and is in-person only.
  • The second Meeting for Worship is at 11:00 am, and is hybrid (both in-person and on Zoom).
• On Sundays when Business Meeting is held (3rd Sundays, except for August and December):
  • There is a single Meeting for Worship from 9:30 – 10:30 am.  It is hybrid.
  • Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business begins at 11:00 am, and it is hybrid.
  • There will be no second Meeting for Worship after Meeting for Business.
• Fellowship with refreshments between the two Meetings for Worship (10:30 – 11:00 am).

WORSHIP:  starting in September 2026.

Friends expressed a wish for a simpler, more predictable schedule on Sunday mornings.

• Every Sunday, both hybrid and in-person-only Meetings for Worship will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
  • First Day School and child care will be available.
  • Signs will indicate which room holds which meeting.
  • Fellowship with refreshments will take place after rise of Meeting, starting at 11:00 am.
• Meetings for Worship with Attention to Business:
  • No Business Meeting is scheduled for August.
  • The next scheduled Business Meeting will be 3rd Sunday, September 20, 2026, starting at 11:30 am.
  • The Meeting is still considering the schedule for following Business Meetings.
