Ann Arbor Friends Meeting (AAFM) relies on donations from members and attenders to cover over 60% of its budget. Annual Gifts to Ann Arbor Friends Meeting are used for operational expenses that are part of the yearly budget. Your contribution helps support AAFM programming, outreach, and ministry and to provide for our meeting space.

Gifts of all amounts are meaningful and appreciated.

You can contribute by cash or check in the contributions box on the wall of the lobby next to the entry door to the Meetingroom in the Meetinghouse on Sundays.

Want to use online means to contribute to AAFM? We utilize Friends Fiduciary Corporation (FFC) to facilitate online donations, gifts of stock, and planned giving.

DEBIT/CREDIT CARD OR ACH

Make a one-time or recurring gift to AAFM (via Friends Fiduciary Corporation) using your debit or credit card (2-3% charge, depending on your card) or ACH transfer (26 cents per transaction) directly from your bank account. If you want to contribute to a fund not listed in the choices after your click on the “Donate” button below, simply choose “General Operating Fund” in the dropdown menu for “Fund Choice” and contact treasurer@annarborfriends.org to indicate your preference so that your gift can be properly allocated. If you would like to reduce, increase, change the date of, cancel, or reinstate a recurring donation, please contact treasurer@annarborfriends.org.

CHECK OR EFT

Contributions via CHECK are most welcome as they do not entail any fees deducted from your contribution by external organizations and 100% of your contribution benefits Ann Arbor Friends Meeting.

DISTRIBUTION FROM IRA

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity. A QCD excludes the amount donated from taxable income. Contact your IRA Custodian to make a gift to Ann Arbor Friends Meeting.

SECURITIES

To gift publicly-traded securities contact Tim McElroy at FFC by email (tmcelroy@friendsfiduciary.org) or phone 215.241.7272.

Donating appreciated securities directly to a charitable organization often increases the amount you are able to give by avoiding capital gain taxes.

DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

Have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)? You can donate to Ann Arbor Friends Meeting (AAFM) using your DAF. Contact your administrator to recommend a grant.

LEGACY GIVING

You do not need to be wealthy in order to make a meaningful planned gift. Most people have the immediate capacity to create a legacy gift.

Many deferred giving options allow you to purposefully support the future needs and vitality of the Ann Arbor Friends Meeting with little or no impact on your current income. Some planned gifts can even provide additional income.
