Pathway to Meeting

THANKSGIVING DAY SOCIAL CONNECTION

A Called Meeting for Worship will be held on Thanksgiving Day, 12:00 noon, followed by a Thanksgiving Day Social Connection at 1:00 p.m. There is hymn singing at 11:45 a.m.

Thanksgiving is a time of gratefulness for our blessings, and has often been a time when families gather together for feasting and fun. The Covid-19 pandemic prevents that kind of gathering this year, and some in our congregation are missing connection with family and friends. You are invited to a virtual get together via Zoom on Thanksgiving Day, 1:00 – 2:00 pm to share a slice of pie (or your favorite dessert). Thanks to Cassie Cammann, Nancy Taylor, Naomi Gilbert, and Rabindar Subbian for organizing the event. Special thanks to those making (Cassie, Nancy, Laura Lein, Lauren Ungar) and delivering (Cassie, Mark Hoover, Rabindar, Thomas Taylor) 20+ pies/tarts to Friends in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti as a small gesture of love and support. We hope the desserts will be a small reminder that we are all cherished and supported.
