Readings for Reflection: October 2013
from the Committee on Ministry and Counsel

Simple Faith

This month’s Reading is the song “Simple Faith,” by David Tamulevich. When Nancy Taylor contacted David to request permission to reprint it in this newsletter, he replied:

Thank you Nancy! You made my day! :-) … The song has been taking on a life of its own: this Summer we were performing at a festival in New Bedford, Massachusetts. After we played “Simple Faith,” one of the volunteers came up to talk to me: turns out she was the youth coordinator for Quakers in New England. She told me that a couple of years ago her junior class adopted “Simple Faith” as “their” song. :-) I was so pleased to think that the song was working for young people as well.
